Iesha Cuthrell, a dedicated and compassionate therapist who is committed to providing holistic and person-centered mental health support. Iesha holds a Master of Social Work(MSW) degree from the Ethelyn R. Strong School of Social Work at Norfolk State University, where she honed her skills and passion for helping others.

With a therapeutic philosophy rooted in person-centered care, Iesha views each of her clients from a holistic perspective, understanding the unique challenges and strengths they bring to therapy. Her extensive clinical mental health experience encompasses working with diverse populations, including individuals, groups, youth, adults, elderly individuals, families, active duty/retired military personnel, and reentry populations. She has provided support in various settings, including the Hampton VA Medical Center, Sentara Hospital, and nonprofit organizations.

Currently, Iesha exclusively offers telehealth services, providing a safe and supportive virtual space for her clients. She is deeply passionate about equipping her clients with coping skills and tools that they can apply to different aspects of their lives. Iesha specializes in addressing issues related to depression, anxiety, trauma, PTSD, emotional disturbance, coping skills, and challenges associated with adjusting to or managing stress.

Iesha's empathetic and empowering approach makes her a valuable ally for individuals seeking support and healing. Her dedication to helping clients navigate their mental health challenges is evident in her commitment to providing effective, evidence-based interventions.

Our History

Providence Psychological Services, Inc. was founded in May 2012 by CEO and Senior Clinical Director, Dr. Kawanna E. Ward. Since 2012, Providence Psychological Services, Inc. has expanded from a consulting firm, to a full time operating outpatient mental health practice. Providence Psychological Services, Inc is committed to serving residents of Western Tidewater and surrounding areas, and being a positive change agent in our community.
